Alpine-Orienteering on the Niederhorn
The Niederhorn railway will bring you conveniently to the starting point of the orienteering run.
Experience the fascination of orienteering at an altitude of almost 2,000 meters above sea level, 3 different trails between the Niederhorn and Vorsass are ideal for orienteering. The Hasentrail (rabbit trail) is intended for beginners, while the Rehtrail (deer trail) is rated with the difficulty level medium, while the Luchstrail (lynx trail) is for advanced runners. The start is located by the old mountain station on the Niederhorn. Simply follow the signs.
Orienteering maps with their special signs and explanations have been created for the 3 trails. The essential point here is that the forest is marked in white and meadows are shown in yellow. By comparing the maps with the terrain, you will quickly realize the meaning of the various symbols.
