Family-friendly Niederhorn
The mountain railways on the Niederhorn transport you conveniently to the starting point of your family outing in the Bernese Oberland. Whether dirt scooters, barbecuing, hiking or observing the natural world – your family excursion on the Niederhorn will be an unforgettable experience.
Family reduction: The first child pays, and all other children accompanied by at least one parent are then free-of-charge. This also applies to all the leisure offers (e.g. rental of the dirt scooters). The only exception is any food or drinks consumed in the restaurants.
With the Junior Card or Grandchildren Card, all the children travel free-of-charge on the mountain railways in accompaniment with the parents or grandparents.

On the occasion of the general meeting of cableways Switzerland, the Alpine-Orienteering on the Niederhorn was awarded with the “Swiss Mountain Award 2010”. (Recognition price for outstanding individual and group performances). Between the Niederhorn and Vorsass 3 different trails are ideal for orienteering. The Hasentrail (rabbit trail) is intended for beginners, while the Rehtrail (deer trail) is rated with the difficulty level medium and the Luchstrail (lynx trail) is for advanced runners.
Two routes that are full of variety lead from the half-way station at Vorsass down to Beatenberg. We have more than 20 children’s scooters, which make it possible for school-age children to independently run down the road to Beatenberg on their own wheels. The helmets are included in the rental price.
