Sledging on the Niederhorn
The mountain railway brings you conveniently onto the Niederhorn for the start of the sledging fun. You can hire sledges from the Niederhorn railway.
Family reduction: The 1st child pay, and all other children accompanying at least one parent travel free.
You have 3 possibilities of sledging on the Niederhorn:
1. Sledging only
On the Niederhorn – Vorsass sledge run, you can sledge through the snow-covered winter landscape while enjoying the view of Lake Thun, and the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The sledge run is suitable for experienced sledgers, and offers lots of fun for both young and old. The sledge run to Vorsass takes approx. 40 minutes.
2. Sledging combined with winter hiking
You can combine sledging with winter hiking on several winter hiking trails. more »
3. Night sledging (20th Dec. 08 to 21st March 09)
Night owls come into their own every Friday and Saturday evening. The sledge run from the Niederhorn to Vorsass is marked with lanterns and the cable car travels from the Vorsass central station to the Niederhorn every half-hour. In addition, a fondue get-together and/or a mulled wine break (Glühwein) can be booked.

Sledge rental
You can rent sledges at the Niederhorn mountain station. The rental charge is Fr. 10.00 (plus a deposit of Fr. 30.00 for the first sledge).
Equipment
As equipment, we recommend good shoes, warm clothing and sun protection during the day.
