guided wildlife observation tour

Every Thursday from Juli to September

The early morning in the mountains belongs to the wild animals: ibex, mountain goats, marmots and the king of the sky – the golden eagle – are welcoming the day. A magic moment to see the animals in their natural environment.

A local wild animal specialist will guide you every Thursday to the ibex colonies and explain the character of these daring climbers.

Our recommendation: arrive the night before and enjoy the sunset from one of the cosy rooms in the Berghaus Niederhorn.

Wildlife observation - every Thursday

Watch native wild animals close up

The mountain railways transport you comfortably to the Niederhorn from where you start early in the morning. Just in time to experience how the real natives of the mountains – the wild animals-wake up.

Ibex, Chamois, Marmots and the king of the sky – the Golden Eagle – will reward you for the early hour. We recommend bringing your camera. We will have six CL-Companion binoculars from Swarovski-Optik available during the viewing. Please bring a picnic. The observation takes around 6 hours (hiking time around 4 hours) and ends by Vorsass station.

Why not experience the sunrise after an overnight stay in the Berghaus Niederhorn? Real connoisseurs enjoy the evening with a delicious dinner and experience the early morning with a sunrise on the Niederhorn.

We are happy to take your reservation on +41 (0)33 841 08 41, via info@niederhorn.ch or via inquiry form. The wild animal observaton needs a minimum of 7 participants. We will inform you before 3.00 p.m. the day before if it will take place or not.

The wild animal observation is taking place every Thursday between 4 June and 24 September 2015.

We offer exklusiv wild animal observations (guided) for groups from Monday to Friday.
