Race down the 3 km
long sled run as many times as you want. There is starlit sledging on the
Niederhorn every Friday and Saturday night. Or enjoy the fantastic view onto Lake Thun and the world famous 3 peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau whilst
hiking on one of the well prepared winter hiking trails. There are 3 slopes (red and blue) waiting to be discovered by skiers and snowboarders and plenty of
restaurants available to keep you going. NEW in winter 2015/16 we take you every Friday- and Saturday-evening on a guided snowshoe tour.
Every Friday- and Saturday-evening on pre-reservation, our local guide takes you for a guided tour through the serene winter landscape around Niederhorn. Experience the silence of a clear winters night on the Niederhorn. The tour also includes a warm-up break with some mulled-wine as well as a delicious fondue at the restaurant Vorsass.
On the sled run from the Niederhorn to Vorsass you are sledging through the snow covered landscape and can enjoy the view onto Lake Thun and the famous 3 peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. This sled run is also suitable for beginners. You can rent the sleds at the Niederhorn station for a small fee.
Three different ski slopes (red and blue) lead from 1950 m above sea level from the sunny heights of Niederhorn to Vorsass – fun for skiers and snowboarders. A T-bar lift brings you safely back up the mountain. You can even ride all the way to Beatenberg station if there is enough snow. Enjoy the stunning views high above Lake Thun.
Even in the winter season you can choose from several well prepared hiking trails. Some of them can be combined with sledging. Enjoy the crunch of the fresh snow under your feet in the stillness of the magic winter landscape and the terrific panorama of the world famous peaks Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and the Lake Thun.
Good times with starlit sledging every Friday
and Saturday night in winter season. The way from Niederhorn to Vorsass is
marked by lanterns. Enjoy a social evening with «starlit sledging PLUS» with a
fondue at the Berghaus Niederhorn and mulled wine or glogg at the end in the
Groups of 20 people or more can also book the starlit sledging and the starlit sledging PLUS exclusively for themselves on other weekdays.
There are several restaurants on the Niederhorn, offering fantastic views, to stop off for food and drink together.
