Fondue backpack

Your experience begins at the ticket office in Beatenberg. There you can pick up your fondue backpack, packed by the Vorsass mountain restaurant. Now you decide which spot on the Niederhorn is the most beautiful for you, where you will prepare and enjoy your fondue surrounded by idyllic nature! Your fondue backpack experience can be booked daily throughout the summer and winter seasons.

If you are arriving from Beatenbucht, you can buy your tickets there. The backpack will be handed over to you in Beatenberg.

The fondue backpack contains the following items:

• Regional fondue mix
• Fondue bread
• Picnic blanket
• Spices
• Rechaud with windbreak and gas burner
• Caquelon
• Fondue crockery and forks
• Lighter

Please note that drinks are not included in the offer. You can purchase them at the Vorsass mountain restaurant.

The backpack is for two people. For four or more people, two rucksacks will be provided.

Please note: Select the ‘date’ and ‘start time Beatenberg’ on the booking form. The rucksack must be collected between 9 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.

Return: Please return the backpack to the Bärgrestaurant Vorsass or the station in Beatenberg by 5.30 p.m. at the latest. If we notice that an item is missing or damaged when you return it, please note that you will be charged for it.
