Current situation

Information during the interruption

Due to a technical defect in the deflection wheel, the cable car to Niederhorn is expected to remain out of service until December 2025. The resulting bearing damage requires extensive repairs.

What does this mean for guests and partners?

We are doing everything we can to get the Niederhornbahn back into operation as quickly as possible so that our guests can enjoy our services again as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are offering alternative services or recommending that our guests discover the wide range of experiences on offer at our partner destinations: Niesenbahn, Stockhornbahn, BLS Schifffahrt and St. Beatus Caves welcome you with open arms.

Funicular Beatenbucht - Beatenberg

The Beatenbucht–Beatenberg funicular operates according to the timetable.

Our alternative offers

  • The trotti bike rental service is open at the weekends until 16 November, when the weather is nice. From noon to 4 p.m. each day. Further information can be found here.
  • The Vorsass restaurant welcomes guests in good weather from 11 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
  • Autumnal hikes from Beatenberg invite you to enjoy varied excursions in the surrounding area.
